@1000anonymous1000 Oooooooh I'm not sure about this, to be honest--not in a bad way, just unsure myself as well. I've seen people make oc's to date their crush but to make an oc to date a kid character sounds a bit risky BUTTTT as long as you know you're not making the oc like you/portray a character you'd want to be if you had to date him. But I've made oc's for a character I really admire as a way to sort of make them look cool to have a friend/partner in crime/henchman which I think you might be doing!

@1000anonymous1000 Not at all, I have also had these moments myself as someone who loves to make oc's as well and sort of have made a childhood oc for a character younger than me and I thought 'hey isn't this a bit sketchy?' But then I just made rules like this for myself. So I think you're good to go with these exceptions and a good explanation like just simply admiring, wanting to give them a friend/family, adding to the plot.....etc. 😁👍

@1000anonymous1000 For someone as young as Pride, it'd be best to make them the same she as him because I can't imagine another child younger or much older liking him. For example once when I was a kid I wrote a fanfic where a 8 year old reader (since that's how old I was back then) like a character I had a crush on who I de-aged to 11 and the readers were like, 'what kind of eleven year old likes a--' 😅 so I think a year older or younger would be acceptable because normally kid characters in media aren't shipped unless they have an existing Canon crush/lover. And with romance, we obviously need to make it strictly a crush so like close friends with crush--if you want a little more than that, you can have like hugs and even kisses on lips but no more than that otherwise it's going to be 😬.

@MagicOCD So in shorter words, just simply mutual childhood crush so like being close friends with crush and do only cuddles, nice chats, hanging out-kind of dates and pecks on lips are fine! 😁

@1000anonymous1000 🤔 It's not about his age, but he has the appearance of one and I wouldn't be comfortable liking someone who looks like an elementary student. I mean sure people with baby faces exist but he's got the form of an actual child 🤷‍♀️ Actually--contradictory, he's also so old for even another minor to be shipped with him so I guess Pride is one of those characters that just shouldn't be shipped with but in my opinion I'd rather have him be shipped with someone same age as him than an adult. So in conclusion he's neither a kid or adult but due to his appearance, I think it's best to play it safe by treating him like he's a kid when it comes to pairing him.

@1000anonymous1000 For an actual answer, my answer it would be best to leave him be solo BUT if you really want to then you can, just keep it kid friendly. Just as long as you don't make the oc you or what you'd want to be if you were your oc because that's self-insert. I think this is just about fine at that level 😁

@MagicOCD Exactly but what triggered me was that I felt attracted to him physically ONLY when pride was on screen NEVER Selim and it scared me about myself and I just don’t want to be attracted at all even the shadow.

@MagicOCD Just make sure you clear that up, like I'm attracted to the pride shadow and entity, but not the kid or just say the shadow itself, not the kid. But this would be the biggest 'hear me out' sort of thing and people are are going to look at you suspiciously anyway

Sorry to tell you this but this is a pretty complex situation so you are regardless going to have a problem, what I just said seems to be the safe solution for now but yeah, I'm sorry 😞 you'll just have to keep reminding and reassuring yourself that you don't really like him at all. That's ocd, it's logical yet not at the same time so it's panic inducing.
