I need some recommendations from anyone who tried therapy with the NOCD therapists. preferably anyone who is struggling with Religious OCD, SO-OCD and Existential OCD If you tried therapy here, how was your experience? would you recommend any specific therapists for a specific subtype? any feedback is appreciated!
Hi. Therapists are restricted to the state/states they're licensed in. I hope you'll find one who helps you. In the meantime, search Mark DeJesus on YouTube. He has a lot of excellent resources there.
Hi NOCD community. I am a U.S. citizen living abroad and have been struggling to find online therapy that could explore topics such as intrusive thoughts and compulsions. I am not officially diagnosed with OCD but have considered seeing a Psychologist for about 3 years now. However, a lot of the therapists on here are only in America or Canada. Has anyone experienced or found a way to seek online therapy abroad? Also, what did the process of getting diagnosed look like? I am not seeking to “have” OCD. I’ve only been curious because if it was something I’m diagnosed with, it would answer a lot of questions I have about myself and my intrusive thoughts. They can be debilitating and harmful and I’m wanting to seek help. If you have any information let me know! Thank you 💓
i am starting NOCD therapy on monday and was just curious on others’ experiences! what happens in your sessions, generally speaking? how do you feel during and after? i’m excited but also nervous to start. i’ve been in talk therapy for years with minimal improvement with my ocd, so im hopeful to start feeling better.
