Pure OCD by Chrissie Hodges. This is her biography and she always takes the reader along as she does ERP. It really helped to know what to expect Loving Naomi by Meghan Newkirk. The book is fiction, but is based on Meghan's real life experience with OCD. Meghan is a friend of.mine and the real deal. Both of these books helped me realize I had OCD. I've had it for over 30 years and never knew it. I had my first intrusive thought at age 8. OCD was never even on my radar until last month. I was diagnosed at age 45.

Someone I care about has OCD, he often gets worried to answer certain things in fear that he might be wrong or gets anxious in times when certain conversations such as dealing with negative emotions come into play and in the event something goes wrong even though we deal with the issue it takes him a long time to put himself back together. Often times worried about his image, hyper focused on being a good person etc etc. I believe I’m doing my best but as someone who doesn’t struggle with OCD I cant fully comprehend him and i wish to learn more about it, not just read it off of google. Any advice would be appreciate it. -Thank you!

I'm going to film school and starting to write horror movies. My obsession is that I'm scared of being a bad person of making my characters becoming a predator on younger characters. But that's also horror like...? I obviously won't make them like a literal baby. But I have this horror idea and I just feel bad. Idk how I'm gonna write this shit without having OCD. For example junji ito collection tomine is somewhat of a predator and the ice cream man. And they're both really good horror stories!! even Pennywise!! And people love Pennywise?!! Any advice for Creating horror with OCD themes like pocd and such?

So for as long as I’ve been alive I’ve loved horror/ thriller movies and books. I really only enjoy reading thriller books. Since my harm ocd hit I have slowly started back reading thriller again, but I have to check for triggers before each one I read. There’s been a few books that I was really loving that I had to stop reading because something that would trigger my ocd would come up ( my theme is going crazy becoming dangerous , schizophrenia etc ) so if a character in a book starts hearing voices or something, I get so anxious. I want to be able to read and watch horror / thrillers again. Do I simply need to just continue reading / watching and sit with the anxiety?
