Fear of being a psychopath

I know that one of the things they do is like animal cruelty and that really disturbs me. I fear I might have done something when I was a child and I just don't remember it. A memory popped up right now. I remeber once when I was really really young a snake appeared in my street. Everybody around went to see it, I think it was kinda small I don't remember that well, the only thing I remember is that I think I was riding my bike and a man killed the snake and to make sure it was dead I I rode the bike over it. Does that make me a psychopath??? I never hurted any animal and I never wanted to. When I was young I even wanted to be a veterinary. But does this makes me be a psychopath??!??!

Yes one big thing I suffer from is seeking reassurance especially with harm ocd. Don’t seek reassurance you probably already have and do you feel better from them before telling you? What makes you think me reassuring you now will make these thoughts go away? Focus on the thoughts over and over again with the mantra “I may or may not be a psychopath I will not know because the future hasn’t happened” this helps me a lot. Because it stops the spiral of uncertain thoughts. Don’t run away and seek reassurance. This ruined me.

I used to seek reassurance for everything.. I learned that just makes the ocd stronger by signalling that.. That thought was important when it is not. I used to think my intrusive thoughts were my intentions but they weren't.. Because they were so against my values i struggled with them.. Through erp with my therapist and learning about ocd. I know my thoughts are not who i am. And i can't fight my thoughts.. I just have to let it be and be indifferent to them

your were a child, when i was little i think i purposely killed a tadpole now i think of it im sad i did lol but i think i was just curious what it was lol i hate killing bugs n ants i always say sorry god when i have to if they r in my house . but if u see what u just wrote u said you get disturbed hearing about animals cruelty, it's not aligned with your beliefs it disturbs you, therefore this is proof it's an intrusive thought , if u enjoyed animal cruelty this would be another story . xoxo

The Fear

I have a constant fear of being a psychopath both physically and mentally… Dahmer is my biggest trigger.. hearing what he does and why he did it makes me scared… I don’t want to be a bad person I don’t think I currently am.. I’m just scared and shaking it feels so real but I keep letting myself know it’s just a thought and that one thought doesn’t define my future or what I do with my life. I LOVE, I CARE, and most of all I PROTECT. Rough night today but progress is progress.

Harm ocd?? Past things.

I wanna cry, when I was a kid,like a toddler. 4-6 maybe. I used to do horrible things to my cat, I choked it twice.my bdother did too if I remember right, but still. Ik this isn’t false memory. I’m 100% sure I ddi this as a kid. But now looking back at it I’m like wtf??? But I’m scared because whenever I see animals hurt now or accidentally hurt my animal that thing pops up in my head again and I feel weird. I can’t explain the feeling but it bothers me so bad. I want to cry. I don’t like this, i rlly feel like I’m a bad person. Idek if this is ocd. What if I genuinely have mental problems???

when i was younger i had symptoms of pshyopaths and now im scared that im one does anyone know if i had those symptoms does that mean im one im scared?
