little ocd tip
- when i get an intrusive thought that starts with “i am” or something horrible, i take a deep breath, stare at what’s in front of me, and say in my head “my intrusive thoughts do not speak for me, nor do they represent me”. and that’s it! i find that this tip helps a LOT with my pure ocd. in my case my intrusive thoughts repeat and say horrible things and i spend a lot of time trying to control them. this is short and shuts them up almost immediately. i guess it could be considered a compulsion, but it’s a pretty helpful one if that! hopefully this could be helpful!!
