Can anyone relate?
Don’t you just love it when you’re out in public and a random intrusive thought flutters through your mind and “attaches” to a random person and you of course worry it may become true or is true? I know it won’t with what I had happened to me today when the intrusive thought happened, but it’s a distressing thought despite the fact that It is untrue. What helps me from having a meltdown is reminding myself just because I thought it does not mean it’s true. Because if that were the case any and all intrusive thoughts could be true and I have a magical brain like professor X (reference to X-Men for those of you who may not know). What helps you all?
