Good morning.
Sorry I couldn't think of a better title lol. I gotta ask this though. Is there any one here thats older (35 up, I'm 43) that has developed a new theme? If so what is or was the theme and how did you deal with it?

I’m 37. I’ve had various themes over time. My first recollections of ocd were when I was in my teens and started with hocd. I don’t think developing new themes is unusual. OCD tends to focus on what is important to you and that changes over time.
Yeah and sometimes it switches to the heavy hitters.
Anyone else develop it in their 30s? I’m 33 and just started showing symptoms in October 2024. So far have only been diagnosed with GAD , PD and depression.I started having intrusive thoughts after a series of panic attacks . My compulsions would be googling. I have made an effort to stop though because it only makes me feel worse. My intrusive thoughts have been around fear of going crazy
People who went from a really bad time with OCD to a better time now. Is it really possible? What was your theme? Did you take medication?
Okay so I’ve dealt with harm OCD from the beginning. Started off with harming my kids, going to jail and then harming myself. The harm to myself stuck around for a long time. Then it went away and other themes picked up but it keeps coming back. This is like the third time it’s come back and every single time it comes back it feels worse. It feels like this is the time something is going to happen. Has anyone ever dealt with this? With old themes constantly coming back and feeling more real? Please any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
