Ocd Medication Success?
What has worked for you guys?
What has worked for you guys?
Sertraline helped me a lot but unfortunately I’m prone to medication allergies so I had to switch medications. I am currently on Clomipramine and it helps me a lot with managing flare-ups. I personally still have to put in a lot of work but it helps me to see things differently and work through ERP more effectively. I also have less severe flare-ups comparatively when I’m on Clomipramine. I hope that you find meds that work for you! There’s lots out there. 🫶
@JesusSaves424 And, to add, when I start having panic attacks (likely from OCD combined with my other mental health conditions), Hydroxyzine as-needed helps me so much. Helps me to calm down and rest.
I am on 75mg sertraline (or 100? I don’t remember) and I forget the dosage but vivance. The two work together well and my daily rumination ceases to exist most days now.. nights are a struggle without the vivance but hey.. I am working to conquer it. These work.
Magnesium and Sam-E
I’m on 100mg Zoloft. So far so good!
For those who have had success with medication for OCD/anxiety, how is your life different now compared to before starting medication?
I understand that everyone is different but lately I have been debating on medication just because of past experiences but does anyone have any good experiences with medication that has helped them with their OCD as well as therapy or treatment? As of now I’m dealing with it by myself but it feels like it may be getting worse
Has anyone had success treating their OCD without medication and solely ERP or non-medicinal methods. I have pretty severe OCD and just about every sub-type, but I’ve been on various meds (SSRI & SNRIs) for going on 8 years and have never found one that truly relieves me of symptoms. I’m looking to see if it’s worth continuing with the side effects I experience (mostly mild) or if there are alternatives that could work for me. Low key tired of constantly changing meds in an attempt to find something that works when maybe medicine isn’t the route for me…
