y’all when dealing with ROCD and someone says God doesn’t operate in a place or confusion so if you’re confused then it’s not from God.. how am i supposed to answer back to that? like ughhh cus what if my relationship isn’t from God.. then what? (do not be negative or question my beliefs pls) just need some help
God is love and wants the best for you. But that doesn't mean that we don't struggle, and confusion can come from many sources, our own brains included. We can't know God's will, but we can do our best to make loving choices with the information and faith that we have. To claim that *anything* that is confusing is "not from God" limits God to what we as humans can understand, and God is so much bigger and beyond our comprehension to begin with. God wants you to find love and connection with your fellow humans in relationships of all kinds. Romantic relationships often involve feelings of love, but love is also a choice to commit to someone every day. OCD can cause a great deal of mental confusion when we try to figure out problems that can't be solved, and part of treatment is accepting uncertainty. I would try to think of it that OCD is not of God per say, to think in OCD loops is not necessarily the best way to love someone so it’s something we have to look to overcome because it hurts us and our partners - It doesn’t mean that our relationship is confusing or bad for us, OCD is not very helpful to us, it’s something that makes us struggle and we can overcome it!

me and my girlfriend since we started dating we be only had one problem, and that is my fear of everything of losing her of her cheating, and it’s all caused by OCD. my texts are massive and i get worried i know i love her and she makes me calm i know i love her. we had a conversation yesterday and basically she said that she feels suffocated with my texts and my fears. she went on trip were she doesn’t have her phone. and yesterday i spent the entire day crying about her. my head is filled with intrusive thoughts. and last night i got so stressed that it seemed like the love went away or i couldn’t remember the love, but it’s impossible because i was crying about her yesterday. this struggle my relationship is having is making me so stressed. pls give me advice
Can ocd make you question the existence of god???
Recently my ocd keeps asking me if I love my boyfriend enough and that if I don’t love him enough I should breakup with him. It’s really bothering me and idk what to do about it. Sitting in the uncertainty is too much and I fear sitting with it too long I’m just gonna crack and give in to a compulsion.
