My ocd was about loyalty towards my gf every bad thought I had towards her had to tell her or felt guilty for thinking somsones better looking and have to tell her now I’m over that and in my next stage of ocd after help I feel overwhelming attraction towards girls I used to not be able to look at them for a year and now I feel bad and like I should be single if that’s how I feel
It’s tough to ride the roller coaster of emotions that come with OCD-guilt, sadness, anxiety. Those emotions make it difficult to allow the uncertainty to be there, and not do anything about it. When we try to relieve the distress, we are doing compulsions which make OCD worse. I had a particular worry that I believed I had to “confess” to my husband. Once I did this, similar to you, something else came up and I felt the same need to “confess”. It’s not something new or a new phase of OCD, it’s simply OCD It’s more of the same. It’s a thought, accompanied with distressing feelings, a desire to get rid of those feelings followed by a behavior “confessing” (the OCD cycle). The solution is to allow these new thoughts to be there, don’t do anything to relieve your distress but live your life, focus on the good things, know that OCD will always try to insert doubt, and if you do something to relieve that doubt (compulsion) it will keep you stuck. @VGH I’m getting this right now .. even though I know what it is , I’m still worrying , getting those thoughts and feelings of do I really love my gf? Do I really wanna be with her ? Getting feelings like maybe I don’t wanna be with her or not feeling anything towards her at all, Literally right after me feeling and doubting she’s the one who doesn’t love me and being scared of that cause how much I do love her and want her in my life . Getting these thoughts and ideas and feelings out of nowhere. She tells me she’s sad I have to go through these thoughts and wishes I didn’t doubt her love for me . I wish I didn’t doubt shit too!

Sorry to hear about your struggle. I don’t know if you are getting counseling for OCD. I have been with NOCD for 2 years and it has been a huge help. I felt the need to apologize to my wife and I did over 1000 times last year. When I started with NOCD I found I needed to ride the wave of anxiety and not apologize. I would have such anxiety feeling like I needed to apologize. Well after letting the anxiety be there and not apologize - which was truly difficult it isn’t nearly the issue it was before. I know firsthand that it is difficult - but OCD is treatable. I fully understand your struggle. I needed to say “No” to OCD one issue at a time and I know you can say “No” to OCD 👍.
It's messed up its not easy the thing is you choice to be with your girlfriend the thoughts are nothing more than constant noise and the feelings are a bi product of the noise it's the OCD messing with you that's the nature of the beast go with your gut not your mind
Had for ocd for years about loyalty towards my gf would feel awful if I thought bad off my gf and thinking other girls r goood looking missing my ex ect but now I’m almost better and now don’t avoid looking at girls which I did for a year I find my self wanting to look at girls and get an overwhelming attraction feeling that I don’t get towards my gf? I find every girl attractive now and feel awful like I’m better off alone as I feel Numb a lot towards my gf but thY would be because of all the trauma towards her from ocd. Any one else struggling with this ? We have been together almost 24/7 for 2 years is this normal the lack of attraction ?
Hello guys quick question, I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend now for 8 months coming up to 9. Last night and nights before I had dreams with like girls who aren’t her is that bad and does that mean anything I feel like if I didn’t have ocd I wouldn’t think twice about it. Like am i unfaithful and I can’t tell her and I just feel guilty.
I am so happy with my girlfriend, but every time i see a good looking guy i start having thoughts about liking the guy and feeling guilty cause i am in a relationship and even if i would be cuddling with my girl, a random thought about a guy could ruin my mentality, it would make me feel like an impostor and i wanna know if this is normal, i know my ocd can make me question my SO, but i dont want it just to be denial, idk how to differentiate denial from my ocd.
