I just feel petrified and I don’t understand why. There aren’t even any thoughts right now. I just feel so scared.

@Annoymous I don’t even know, if I pay too much attention to how anxious I feel, it ends up being what ifs
@Annoymous My mind is kinda empty right now. The intrusive thoughts aren’t very loud in this current moment so it’s just this general fear that I’m feeling. I’m not sure what it is maybe I’m scared of thinking intrusive thoughts again idk
I get these moments a lot. Grab a piece of ice and put it on the back of your neck if you can. Close your eyes and imagine every rushing feeling being washed away by ocean waves. Then? Feel the feeling as horrible as it is. Desensitize yourself to it but soothe yourself too. Eat a sweet treat, get comfy and cuddle up in bed, and if you can’t do any of that in this moment? Visualize the feelings you’ll feel when you can.

I get like this sometimes. It’s almost like ocd is in the back ground barking at me to do a compulsion, but does not know what it wants. It goes kind of like this: OCD: do a compulsion. Me: ok what one? OCD: I don’t know just do one. Me: on what theme? OCD: no idea , one of them though. Me: what do you actually want? OCD: you to feel bad and do a compulsion. Me: well I feel bad cause you are confusing the shit out of me. OCD: cool, going to do a compulsion? Me: NO FKing Clue what one you want me to do?!?! OCD: “giggles” cool let me know when you done one. So I just sit there feeling on edge for no reason. It’s kind of surreal. After a while it passes and I guess I did not feed ocd, yay me ?
@I’m Batman That actually makes a lot of sense. It’s such an odd experience. I hate it, and unfortunately I was diagnosed with panic disorder so I think that’s also feeding into my OCD. UGH
@issphra 🫶🏻 Look into Interoceptive exposures for panic disorder with your Dr. I would not suggest doing them on your own unless you life on the edge .. then knock your self out 😁. I’ve been pretty lucky there and not had panic attacks. But research shows really good promise on that therapy for them. Hopefully you find something that works for you ❤️

Hi all. Just wondering, I guess it's anxiety, who of you have experienced just a sudden feeling of fear for no apparent reason, like this uneasy feeling like you're scared but there's no reason and then your mind starts racing and searches for why you feel like this and all kind of bizzare stuff pops up. ?
Such a scared feeling right now I was doing a compulsion and then I don’t know what my thought was but all of a sudden I realized it wasn’t really a thought and I spaced out and then of course now my ocd is telling making like I’m not real or something and now I’m really disassociated and feel like I need to get up and go do my compulsion one more time or my entire day will be off tomorrow.
