Past porn use “what if’s”

Many people might’ve watched something that could’ve been illegal and not be phased at all. You on the other hand are terribly worried which shows you have good morals. You need to practice ERP with this and use “maybe I did, maybe I didn’t, I’m going to sit with the anxiety and stay with uncertainty while continuing to live my life.” Easier said than done but OCD doesn’t let certainty exist and living in uncertainty is the only thing you can do while OCD is latching and when you are able to live in uncertainty OCD loses its power little by little over time.

1. Porn is awful and gross and it ruins your brain 2. There is illegal content everywhere and the more you watch porn the more likely it is that you will accidentally come across vile content. 3. You did nothing wrong, move on. 👏🏻

I’m here to talk! I completely understand how you’re feeling right now. I cried to my own mum the other day because of it which was embarrassing because I had to admit that I watched porn but I just couldn’t keep it in anymore!

I just hate that I’ve ended up in this situation so much I wish I never looked at porn I feel like I’ve become a terrible human and I’m so scared

Heyyy I want you to know you are NOT alone at all I completely know how you feel 100 it’s so damn scary :/ I’m a teenager and I’ll get curious about certain things and it sounds so embarrassing but I would be to afraid to go Pornhub bc of fears of seeing something too intense so I would literally go on YouTube that looked to me that involved grown adults literally just kissing bc I would get curious 😭 n experienced some sexual feelings that most teenagers feel … and I remember one day immediately obsessing and ruminating about the situation like I would constantly start with what if like “what if” the videos that I thought were appropriate and consensual and look like they had grown adults were actually actual children that’s what happened to look like grown adults 💀 mind you I would always make sure to like see if any of the videos looked off and they never did like it looked very much consensual and looked like grown adults and I would second-guess that I would have thoughts like that every second or “what if” they liked about their age this sent me into a deep deep episode and I’m still struggling with this episode till this day it’s so freaking scary and then I remember like I was doing compulsions like checking to make sure and I was going through my history and usually like I would delete my history because I’ll get a little bit embarrassed and I didn’t want Mom to be like “what are you doing” because I find it uncomfortable opening up to my Mom about that part and I remembered I saw one YouTube link and it said that it had gotten taken down because of sexual content or nudity on YouTube and I immediately panicked like I started thinking of the worst case scenario I don’t remember what video it was that I was watching, but my brain keeps thinking it had to be one of those videos where I was being curious about but I don’t have 100% memory of what video was it could’ve been anything to be honest but I feel like it’s probably one of those videos that I had watched and I started having more intrusive thoughts like “that must mean they are underage” and I remember I mentioned it to my friend and he kept trying to reassure me you’d like telling me well YouTube is pretty strict with their guidelines and stuff so that’s why it was most likely taking down for it because like they don’t ruin any kind of like sexual stuff including like adult content and ever since like my brain finds just a tiny bit of proof it holds onto that and now all the sudden that’s 100% proof of my fear :/ so trust me I know how you feel 100% and I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I’ll continue to pray for you and hope that you’ll get through this because you can and I believe in you. 💕
