same but girls. I avoid look at girls at street bc of the fear of being attracted. This pain is killing me

My ocd says “what if you are the bad person” or “what if you ever act on it” or “why can’t I be normal”

Are you all starting to notice how similar the OCD voice sounds for so many of us? You know logically that what it’s saying isn’t true—but OCD can be so loud and convincing that it makes you start questioning yourself. That’s exactly how it works—it feeds on doubt and discomfort. One helpful step is learning to talk back to OCD. Not in a way that reassures yourself, but in a way that embraces uncertainty and gently sets boundaries with those intrusive thoughts. You say the response and then continue what you were doing (don't repeat it over and over, just once and move on). Here are some examples you might try: "I’m not listening to you, OCD." (or whatever nickname you’ve given it) "I don’t have to solve this problem." "Thoughts are not threats." "OCD is a liar." "I notice this thought, and I’m not going to argue with it." Here’s a real-life example: OCD might say, “You might hurt someone today.” You could respond with, “I’m having a thought. I can choose not to respond to it.” It’s not about proving OCD wrong—it’s about allowing the discomfort to be there without needing to do anything about it. You’re learning to trust yourself more than the OCD voice, one moment at a time. 💛 If you try it out, let me know what you think.

Hi all! You all have done a great job identifying those voices. Now that you have identified the OCD voice, give that voice a name. Maybe it's an evil villain. Maybe it's a monster. Maybe it's just a black cloud. There is no right or wrong. Close your eyes and let your mind picture the voice. What would you call it? You could even draw it if you are feeling artsy!
Do not do this because something bad will happen that is what my ocd says with other things
“you’re gonna die today, maybe in your sleep, maybe while you’re awake, maybe in a car wreck, and even if you don’t it’s still gotta happen one day, and you’re gonna be gone forever” i would love to say, no im not going too. but sadly, that reality of life is out of my control.

Hi… I’m a recovering alcoholic. I’ve been sober for some time now and have discovered I’ve had OCD for most of my life and sexual assault to myself in the past that was scary. A lot of the situations I was in was because of my addiction. Floating in and out of consciousness. Well, about 7-8 years ago I came home drunk and my girlfriend was sleeping. I got into bed with her and she said I fingered her even after she told me stop and tried to get my hand out. I then passed out with my hand in her pants… I had no idea what exactly (I knew I probably fucked something up) I did until she told me when I sobered up. I have hated myself every day for this. I would do such unhinged and terrible things when I was in addiction. I don’t know how to move past this. And it’s consuming all of me now. I feel extremely guilty about it and am depressed and know I should be locked up. This is really frustrating because I love people and don’t want to hurt anyone. That’s why I’ve stayed sober.
When an intrusive thought comes I can’t just say “that’s not true” and just move on. I always feel like I have to disprove the thought and be able to say it with confidence but the problem is that the ocd doesn’t allow me to feel and say it with confidence so I get stuck for hours or even days. How can I stop feeling like I need to do this?
Don't panic, you're still the same girl, your OC gives you a lot of intrusive thoughts that aren't you and that disgust you and scare you and that you don't want and that you don't think are true, and your OC gives you the false feelings.Also, don't forget that whatever comes to mind, whatever intrusive thoughts you have and whatever you feel, is all yours.
So maybe the title wasn't the best to to put it but when you guys start having obsessive thoughts how do you stop them before it turns into compulsions and anxiety?
