yeah these types of posts are always the worst especially if you have OCD. it can make you feel like you have a moral obligation to engage with the post or it can create a sense of urgency that feels incredibly scary. i've definitely seen some posts online that made me feel like it was a sign or made me paranoid so you're not alone!

This is all useless — you shouldn’t take it so seriously. Maybe you have a fear of death inside you, and the only way to end the fear of death is through religion. If you truly follow Islam the right way, then a person starts to live every moment with the desire for Paradise, acting according to Allah’s commands in this world. The desire to stay in this world goes away, because for a Muslim, this world is just a traveler’s stop — a temporary place. The real destination is death, and for a true Muslim, death feels like a relief, because this world is just a testing ground. Here we are doing good and bad deeds, all of which are being recorded in our book of deeds, and based on them we will be rewarded in the afterlife. If we’ve done good deeds, we’ll go to Paradise, and if not, then Hell. This is the reality. You should study Islam, read the Qur'an — all truths will become clear to you. My prayer is that Allah shows you the straight path and makes things easy for you. Ameen.

I just want to share something small, but first of all, if the word “useless” I used earlier hurt you in any way, I sincerely apologize for that. I never meant to ignore or belittle your feelings. What I really wanted to say is that sometimes, we come across posts on social media that shake us deeply — especially when we’re emotionally vulnerable or overthinking. I feel like maybe you have a fear of death in your heart — and honestly, that fear is a natural part of being human. But the only true way to overcome that fear is by trying to deeply understand our religion, Islam. When a person sincerely connects with Allah, the fear of death fades away — and instead, they start preparing for the afterlife more than they cling to this world. Islam teaches us that this world is just a temporary stop — a place we’re passing through. Our real destination is the Hereafter. If we keep doing good deeds and seeking Allah’s pleasure, then death no longer feels scary — it becomes a source of peace. And the most beautiful thing is, once someone truly understands this, even the hardest things start to feel easier. And if you ever feel like talking about anything, or just want someone to listen — I’m here. With an open heart, and without any judgment. I just pray that Allah brings peace to your heart and always keeps you in His protection. Ameen.

This is not a platform for religious or faith converting. Lets address her question or concerns and consider her age. No? Post's like this scare me as well especially when I feel vulnerable with anxiety that I don't at the time feel in control or strong to necessarily process so I don't give or try not to entertain it and refocus on something else if I can. With that being said, if you do entertain it, that person's life and situation is different than yours. maybe you share similar thoughts but different place in life and situation . Now, having a faith in something like a higher power can be helpful like Abdullah09 said but that is a walk you have to find that you believe in and want to embrace. Maybe the teachings alone can help you sort out things. For me I believe in God in general. I wish I had a stronger faith in Christ to be honest but its so hard for me. You're too young to come to terms with dying and have your whole life ahead of you. Coming to terms with dying can be scary for people or it could be therapeutic for others especially if you believe in an afterlife that promises something like heaven or I am not familiar with Islamic afterlife but same concept. Coming to terms with dying could just help the resistance and fear while you live your long life - it may be helpful if you can process it the right way. I don't see Health OCD as a label for you so that's good :) Bless you, Mike

During the pandemic, I fell into a really deep rabbit hole of those "watch this for just 10 seconds and my pet will live" - type videos and it was super detrimental to my mental health. I thought that, because they popped up on my feed, it was a sign that only I could save these people. But, after speaking about it with a therapist, I was able to slowly let go of those thoughts and come to terms with the fact that I can't help everyone. Oftentimes, when I find myself going down those rabbit holes again, I tell myself "you have to help yourself first before you're able to help others." I'm not sure if this would count as reassurance, but it always allows me to be able to sit with the fact that, again, I can't help everyone. Overall, though, I totally feel you, you're not alone.
