I feel guilty for not mentioning my boyfriend to my colleague who is male until he mentioned his partner and only then i spoke about him MY THOUGHTS ARE “Why didn’t i bring it up, why do i always feel hesitant to discuss, is it because i want to cheat” I would never cheat BUT why do i not want to talk about it then?😭😭
This is a bunch of ocd jumbo wumbo brain chatter. Be like "Yup brain I'm just the worst gf ever" sarcastically and move on with your day. Don't give it your time
@analyze2well Appreciate it! If asked i would never hide i have a boyfriend but i always feel weird bringing it up to people idk why - my colleague is so much older and im not even attracted to them so i have no idea why my ocd has to trigger

Girl I dealt with the same thing today. Like I think it’s because in my past when I tell people mainly guys that I have a boyfriend they start treating me different because they know they can’t get me now.. I feel like that’s what’s going on subconsciously & I just want to be treated the same like can we just be friendly co workers pls
I’ve been struggling with something that’s been really overwhelming, and I’m hoping to get some perspective from others here. I feel a lot of guilt about it, and I’m not sure if I’m alone in this experience. Lately, I’ve found myself daydreaming about romantic situations or getting caught up in ‘what if’ scenarios—where I wonder if I could develop feelings for someone else, or if someone develops feelings for me. The thing is, I’m in a relationship that I love, and I don’t want to act on these thoughts at all. What makes it even harder is that these thoughts often hyperfixate on one specific friend, and sometimes they feel entertaining or give me a dopamine rush. But then, of course, I feel even more guilty because it makes me feel like I’m betraying my boyfriend. These thoughts usually happen when I’m upset and looking for comfort, but then they morph into romantic scenarios, which makes me feel so disloyal. I’m constantly going back and forth between feeling curious or entertained by the thoughts and then feeling horrible for even allowing them to happen in the first place. I keep confessing these thoughts to my boyfriend, and he tries to be understanding. He’s just never been the type to daydream, so he doesn’t know if this is something other people experience or if it’s just me. I feel like such an awful girlfriend. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?
If I cheated on my boyfriend or did something unloyal , would it come to mind 8 months later? Wouldn’t I have felt and known about it and that it was wrong the second it had happened ? If I wasn’t worried about it 8 months ago, should I worry about it now ? I have major ocd involving cheating and relationships and self doubt .
I often feel like i did something wrong even tho i am positive i didn’t, my boyfriend and i have been together for like 6 months and i’ve been completely loyal to him the whole time but recently i’ve been feeling the need to confess that i cheated on him even tho i didn’t and there’s absolutely no proof that i did something even close, i don’t talk to other men and if i do my boyfriend has full access to my phone and it’s usually a friend or me asking a simple question but i still feel the need to confess even tho i’ve done nothing wrong🥲 someone please help it’s so confusing
