Hi guys. Does anyone else have a particular celebrity that they obsess over? I have a huge crush on one and I can’t stop thinking about them/obsessively looking at their social media. It feels a lot like OCD because it satisfies a compulsive urge. It also makes me feel like a creepy stalker :( does anyone relate?
So I had a thing for Alicia Debnam Carey for a LONG time. Even went as far as trying to find ways to become famous just so I could meet her. So I’ve been through something similar. I no longer obsess about her though, it just slowly faded with time.
Hi everyone, I have been struggling with something for a while and I am starting to wonder if it is related to OCD. For as long as I can remember, I have had this habit of looking at people, whether friends, family, or strangers and even kids, through a lens that feels like it is from the perspective of someone who might find them attractive or sexualize them. I don’t want to feel attracted; it just feels like my brain automatically puts them in that perspective. I’ve done this for as long as I can remember, and I honestly thought it was just part of me being curious or creative. I have always thought this was just a quirk of my brain, but now I am starting to wonder if it is an OCD thing, especially since it feels automatic and I get anxious afterward. Has anyone else experienced this? I did not think this was part of OCD, but now I am not so sure.
Not sure if this is OCD or ADHD or both, but sometimes I get really stuck on a topic to the point that it's obsessive and somewhat debilitating but still fun. Does anyone else get caught up on random topics (in a slightly unhealthy way)? This part of my mental health issues is one I don't mind as it has contributed a lot of joy to me through different fandoms and groups in my life. Just curious what obsessions (positive) you guys have and if you consider it a blessing, a curse or a blerse lol
Lately, I’ve been kind of confused. I’m in a relationship with a person I’ve known for a long time. I also happen to deeply like two famous people I know. It’s like I’m extremely attached to them. All day I think about them. But it’s kind of weird, because I don’t spend all day thinking about my girlfriend. I love her, but it’s like these other two people are on my head all day. It makes me feel insanely horrible for being in a relationship. I feel so myself with thinking about those two, like I’m free from everything. I feel insanely guilty too. To the point it’s been causing depression, and this obsession of needing to know what’s wrong with me for this. It’s like I try to tell myself nothings wrong, but I feel so guilty. I just think about them all day, and not my girlfriend. It concerns me. I’m 15, I just turned 15 yesterday. And I always try to talk too my mom about this, but she always says the same shit. “I was like that at your age” but I’m not trying to say that. But like seriously I’m so confused about myself at this point I don’t even know what too do
