Does ocd tells possiblity of what will happen in your life so ocd is telling truth only?
OCD doesn't tell only the truth or only lies. It can be either. OCD attacking something does not inherently make it true, and it also does not inherently make it false.

@Shopiya - Let's say I was mean to my friend and hurt her feelings. And that really happened. Then, I go home and my OCD latches onto this event, and I start worrying "I hurt my friend, she thinks I'm mean, I need to check her social media obsessively tonight to see if she posts anything that can help me figure out how she's feeling" That obsessive need to check and the unrelenting worries about what I said are due to OCD. But, the content of my fear is also not false, as I did hurt my friend. OCD creates a false sense of urgency to fix it, worry about it, check obsessively, etc. But the intrusive thought that I hurt her isn't necessarily false -- my reaction to it is blown out of proportion due to my OCD. However, OCD can create thoughts are fears that are completely false. Maybe I say something mean to my friend, and I think, "because I said something mean to her, now there will be a deadly earthquake to punish me." That's an example of magical thinking (caused by OCD) causing me to fear an event that is not going to happen. BOTH are OCD. The content of the OCD is not what makes it OCD -- your reaction to the thoughts and your need to do compulsions is. OCD can latch onto real things or completely unreal things.
@OutstandingCutieDisorder Thank you so much because of these I am feeling like these I am living in a country where the therapist doesn't understand OCD. He tells me OCD only tells posiblity, so you need to accept it. I have thoughts like What if my family members will get into an accident in the future because of my thoughts?He told me OCD is only telling possiblity like your family member will get a accident , you need to accept it is true. I feel like OCD is lying only.
@Shopiya - Your therapist seems like he is pushing you to accept uncertainty, which is how you treat OCD. Telling yourself that OCD is only lying to you (even if its true) can be counterproductive. It feeds back into the OCD cycle by trying to find certainty. The best way out is to accept uncertainty, meaning accepting that your fear COULD be true. Not that it's definitely true -- just that you can never know for sure.

@Shopiya - So a way of accepting uncertainty in your case could be: "My thoughts may be able to cause an accident. They may not. I don't know if that's possible or not. I don't know if OCD is lying to me or not." It takes a lot of practice to get to a point where you can do this without compulsions. But it's good to practice as much as you can.

@Shopiya - No, that's not what I said. I said OCD attacking something doesn't inherently make it true or false. But it could be either. It's all about accepting that you don't know.
I dont think that it is necessarily telling the truth. If you suffer from Sexuality OCD or Relationship ocd, its latching on to what you love the most. Thats what I have and it sucks. From what Ive heard, ocd is not telling the truth about either of those because 1) its what im most attached to and 2) nobody can ever be 100% certain abt anything (if that makes sense)
Does anyone else deal with a psychic ability with OCD ? It comes to me in visions thoughts and voices and a lot of the times I am correct on them just curious if that's my OCD or not??

Does anyone ever feel like you know you have OCD, but at the same time you think it might actually be you connecting to a higher consciousness or vibration that is trying to control your decisions so that the outcome does not turn out bad kind of like the butterfly effect. It drives me crazy because I know I’m conscious that it’s OCD but at the same time I overthink and feel like it might be a higher power trying to warn me that I’m not doing something right, like example; if I flip the trash can lid a couple more times it’s going to pervert something bad from happening and that why I’m sensing I’m not doing it right, because if I spent a little more time there and if I would have left earlier the outcome would’ve been different. Or say I just fight through it and choose to ignore it, but then I’ll carry that negativity/worry of not feeling like I did it right and will project it out into existence because the thought won’t leave my head and in a way your seeking it out into existence since you keep thinking about it, kind of like an affirmation?
