when will i ever get myself under control. i hate this. i hate everything. it’s taken so much away from me. i feel like i’ll never recover.

I feel the same way. I hate myself for how I am. I just want to be normal. I do know one thing though. We have to be here for each other. We need to help one another through this.

i feel like it’s not ocd. i always feel like i’m in hell.

I was just thinking how this would be just like hell today. Ive been battling this for 17+ years on and off. I remember what helped me was finally getting pissed off. I got to the point where I felt like I was at rock bottom and said "fuck this shit, it can't be worse than death/hell/whatever." I just remember all of the biggest moments of progress came when I finally said "fuck you OCD. You arent taking anything else from me." I'm struggling right now with it; but, hopefully I just get angry again at my ocd like the previous times.

My therapist but things in perspective when she said “imagine what you could do or would have energy to do if you didn’t spend most of your time on obsessions and compulsions..” SO TRUE! But how to stop???? I’ve been doing it so long I can’t even imagine what a day without would be like??‍♀️ I bet everyone else feels so free!!! I want that...and I’m chasing it now!

I know that feeling all to well. I literally have to have my wife do everything for me like I'm a baby. No exaggeration. Its hell on earth when I'm alone to do it all alone. OCD makes us experience hell within our own heads. We need to try and stay out of our heads as much as we can. Try and always be talking to others, play games. It's so much easier said than done but its something we need to try.
