Charcuterie boards
Does anyone else have a lot of trouble with the trend toward charcuterie boards? It makes social gatherings so much harder. Not only is it food that is touching other foods (allergy contamination) it is also sitting out and people are touching it with fingers that have been in their mouths! But they do look pretty and people work hard to make them nice so I feel so bad refusing to eat the foods. And I obsess over if I am hurting people’s feelings by not eating it. Why can’t we go back to trays of foods that don’t touch, with serving tongs,and appetizer plates people can individually hold and eat off of? We don’t do this with drinks. People don’t just share a punch bowl!!!
