I pray not to see sixes. Today at the grocery store as she was totalling up my groceries, I asked God to not have it be 6's specifically 3 of them in a row. But really don't want to see any. The bill was 10.66. So I decided to do erp with 6's but all kinds of bad thoughts and other things came up on the search along with 3 6's. I'm so scared. What if I'm cursed with badness from all of these 6's coming up?
First time on this app so I am not sure If it’s appropriate to come from a Christian perspective. But if you are a believer, it’s important to remember that in the end God has already won. Meditate on John 10:28 -29 and rest knowing.. “no one can snatch them out of my hand.” Meaning You can rest knowing that God has you in the palm of his hand and is far more powerful then what you are facing. Not sure if this will bless you but you can disregard/delete this if not.

A few ERP ideas for 6’s that a therapist could help you through: - write the number 6 over and over - write the number 6 with a pen on your arm - walk around and specifically take pictures of 6s you see The idea is to logically think “everyone comes across the number 6 all the time and it’s not going to be too bad” and then expose yourself to that number. With time you will not feel as much anxiety about it!
Get a therapist to help though!
I have a really weird OCD problem. My brain doesn’t ‘like’ or has a fear of the number 6,9, and 12. When I see them or do something this amount of times it just feels ‘off’. I have to make a constant effort everyday to avoid seeing these numbers or doing something the amount of times as these numbers. I know it’s weird and ridiculous but I don’t know what to do.
Hello! I have a phobia of a particular number which I associate with Satan and it gives me severe stress and anxiety. It causes me to have to do hours of rituals to feel “okay” again, and I try to avoid it at all costs. Today, as I was driving (which is also an ocd trigger for me) I saw a license plate with that number. I freaked out and have been in crisis mode for the past couple hours. I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to move forward after being at a high anxiety state for so long. Numbers are unavoidable and I was wondering if people had tips or tricks for coping? Thank you
I need help with something. I have severe OCD. To the point where I will start at 7AM and won't stop until I go to bed. I have a fear of the number 6. Also, I get the word "devil" and "God" stuck in my head. It is intervals of 9 and at 6PM I started a habit where I have to say "devil" and "God" over. But the main one is saying "God" over a bunch of times until it feels just right. I'm scared of stopping my habits at anything with the number 6 because that will really be the day I stop the 6th? If that makes sense. In all honestly I know nothing bad is going to happen and I know I will be fine, but it still gets stuck. I am interested in exposure therapy. So with that being said...would people think it would be better to stop at the number 6 so that way the fear will go away or should I try to stop around 7 or 8? What would be the most helpful?
