I can’t imagine how peaceful life would be not having ocd, it makes me cry just thinking about it. People don’t even realize how blessed they are.

I know but you can work on it and feel almost ad much as "normal" as them. What I ve come to realize is that everyone has thoughts the problem with us is that we are always excessive in everything in our thoughts in our reactions in everything. We are normal but that's where we miss it. But we can figure it out. Happy new year!

ALL THE TIME. Everyone has their own struggles but how does it feel to not be fighting your mind 24/7?

I always wondered if they feel like robots. No thought process at all. Just to do stuff.

@compulsion5000 Right? My thing was nothing really “right” for like two years now. Throwing me off.

@DBurch13 Lately people without ocd seemingly reckless imbeciles to me. I'm legitimately terrified of them sometimes. Covid seems to prove it.

@compulsion5000 People are animals. Just because they are doesn’t mean we have to be. I try so hard to avoid confrontation because I feel as if I’ll act out in a bad way. Especially in public or in front of a group.

@compulsion5000 But I still don’t believe I have OCD, lol. In any way.

@DBurch13 I honestly wonder how much os cultural. I saw a video of a Japanese woman ranting about how gross it is to wear shoes in the house, the same perspective from an American might be labeled ocd. I also read Japan doesn't diagnose ocd until it's more severe.

@compulsion5000 That said I think if your thoughts loop or repeat to me that's probably ocd.

@compulsion5000 Don’t say that, lol. Gonna mess up my brain even more than it already is.

There’s something that happens that keeps me stuck in a thought, it’s when I can see some part of myself agreeing with or relating to it in some way. That’s when the doubt creeps in. If I can understand *why* the thought is there, doesn’t that mean it’s not just random? Doesn’t that mean it actually reflects something about me? For example **(TMI/TW)**: I had the thought, *“I wonder what other people’s kinks are (including friends, family, even teenagers).”* And then I caught myself thinking, *“Well, I guess that could be interesting information… maybe I wouldn’t even stop someone from sharing it with me. Does that mean I actually want to know? Wait—does that make me perverted or incestuous for even having this curiosity?”* The same thing has happened with other thoughts, like wondering what someone’s privates might look like. I recognize that, on some level, that could be interesting—but does that mean the thought is truly mine? Maybe the answer is super obvious and I just can’t see through my OCD smoke. This was a bit embarrassing for me to write 🥲, but can anyone provide some insight?
