dissociation vs. being present
does anyone else prefer being dissociated rather than having to deal with persistent uncomfortable thoughts? and not being protected by the dissociation? i miss it dearly. my brain has been choosing violence lately and forcing me to actively deal with anxiety (inducing somatic panic and anxiety attacks) rather than zoning out 24/7. its comforting to cushion and just be able to sink into your own brain sometimes. but then you miss out on whats going on around you i suppose.
