Can ocd be toward the fear of people seeing you as lesbian and then having it manifest to fear that you are and always have been lesbian? Because I’ve been dealing with HOCD since the 8th grade and I’m currently 21 about to be 22 next month. I don’t even know anymore. I feel like my mind is just tangled up with mixed emotions and fears and anxiety. I suffer from POCD every once in a while but it’s not as bad as my HOCD, and I’m guessing that’s because I went to therapy as soon as I started with POCD because I thought I was a danger to children. Also, it wasn’t until my POCD started that I was diagnosed with ocd and then later came to realize that my HOCD from my 8th grade year and the random fall backs I had about HOCD were OCD.

Hello here is a story of my past trauma that turned my life upside down and made my ocd monster under my bed. So in high school i said one word and that was the end of me,Bullied ,Abandoned by friends,Isolated,Hated,Made fun off ,Violence, Now im alone no friends ,no job,sick and beat down emotionally ,I feel like a part of me died and all thats left is unresolved hate . "Be it a rock or a grain of sand, in water they sink as the same." Doesnt matter how big or little sin or mistake can be the end of u, Life really is crazy.

Hi everyone! I would just like to say that we are all in this together and nobody is alone. I personally have struggled with ocd for years and have had almost all subtypes. But I am in a good place now. If anyone needs some support, I am here. You can do it ❤️ you are not your OCD

I feel kind of good after talking to some of the members on this app but for some reason my brain keeps telling me "I'm not having any HOCD and just in denial" or "you're not the same as them and you're gay" and it just makes me feel bad over and over again. It's making me sad that I AM somebody I don't want to be and I'm just talking to other people for nothing.. and maybe I'm just forcing myself to be straight... I really don't want to feel all of this

How do I get over my schizophrenia OCD. Been debating posting this. This is like the last ocd theme I have to overcome. Im great when im distracted but since ik getting over my harm ocd my brain wants to attack what I fear more. I hyperfocus on sounds and think dumb things. I sleep with the tv on to ensure im hearing the tv. I was getting hallucinations in my sleep on prozac so i came off but it fueled my ocd.

ERP and therapy isnt working for me. I guess this means I don't have OCD and that I have to die.

I wonder if I was ever meant to live at all.

Does anyone obsess besides if they don’t love their partner, other than that, that their partner is being unfaithful? And get anxiety and ruminate because of that even though they haven’t given actual reason too? Please, I’d love someone else’s insight.

How can I do anything for myself if I'm convinced I'm an evil awful person. I've stopped exercising (because I feel I dont deserve it) or washing my face or anything. I spend the whole day waiting to be asleep.

Hi all, I’m new to the app. I have OCD and anxiety. I am pretty new to my diagnosis- just 3-4 months- but knowing that there’s a label to how I feel is relieving. I also have dermatillomania (skin picking) which is one of my compulsions. I got put on medication- Zoloft- almost immediately after my diagnosis (I’m up to 200mg/day now). Something that has been coming up more frequently is my obsession that something bad is happening to my family. I won’t get into the details but I vividly imagine my parents, siblings, or friends being injured or dying. Can anyone who has experience in these areas give some tips? I feel pretty alone right now I’m how I feel and sometimes I feel like there’s something wrong with me.

Hey guys! I have now two ocds! The HOCD + being afraid that it might turn in to pocd! So my mind is in a real garbage! Last night while I was having intercourse (rare thing nowadays since sometimes I'm afraid to have them) a girl image came to my head and flushed it away! Than a picture of an adorable baby kept coming! So I made an huge effort and it finally got away and I some good intercourse! But now I feel bad for not having stoped the intercourse! Does this make me a bad person? I didn't want to stop although the images were trying to do that! I thought if they disappeared it would be ok! But now I feel a really bad person

I miss hanging out with my dad without this foreboding feeling in the background. I find it hard to maintain eye contact with him now and I feel super awkward around him because of my incest OCD. My compulsions include looking for symptoms of incest or if it's possible for someone like me to do it. I've always noticed people who commit incest rarely regret it and they just don't mind the guilt. My mind would tell me.. "stare for too long in your dad's eyes and you'll fall in love." Or "Oh, you're looking away. That's because you have a crush on him." God... I'm looking away because of these damn awful thoughts. I just miss hanging out with him. I feel like our relationship is going to wither. My incest OCD got over the fear of doing incest part but because I notice dad a lot now because of my obsession, my brain made me think I fancy him. Yes, I do find dad handsome but that's totally normal. However, OCD makes this as another hole to victimize me. "Ooo~ you find your dad handsome. That means you fancy him too." Geezas.. if I find cars beautiful and dolls cute does that mean I'm attracted to them? Nice logic, brain. I would never commit that horrible stuff with him. I love my dad so much and it hurts me that it will never be the same?

I’m curious.... what are some of y’all’s compulsions? Some of mine are like excessive hand washing and not touching my face at all

One thing i have learned is that im never gonna win against these demons might aswell enjoy the ride while it lasts haha

My boyfriend of a year and a half broke up with me last due to how terrible my rocd and ocd in general has gotten. I’ve been on zoloft and ever since I had started to take I felt like it was tearing away the important emotional aspects of my relationship. He said I was emotionally abusive and I knew i was being abusive it felt so beyond me to control it. I feel like the most awful person alive

Sometimes i just look at woman when theyre pretty idk i just do. Idk if it means something and i feel like i didnt do it before hocd. Idk if it comes with hocd but i just be looking and idk if it means im attracted or if im just looking or wateva. I dont really look at boys like that anymore because im not attracted to them at this point with hocd. But why would i look at woman tho?

I am almost convinced that psychedelics are the solution.

i always used to want a bf soo bad and i would get so jealous and kinda sad when i saw guys being cute with their girlfriends and now i don’t even care. like i’m not interested in anyone. and it scares me bc i didn’t lose my attraction bc i still see guys and i’m like omg he’s so cute and stuff but then i ask myself if i would date him and i can’t see myself dating him. and it makes me think i don’t actually like boys. and the guy i had liked for yearssss and wanted to be close with so bad, i don’t have feelings for him anymore. anyone else with hocd have this? you still have the physical attraction but you don’t want a relationship. it’s freaking me out
