Hey, weird question: Can OCD make you freak out over thinking someone in a video (where the camera perspective is in front of them, with them attacking the screen) is attacking you? I have a weird anxiety over getting nasty looks or being in attack direction from characters in movies and videos. Really messes me up and I’m actually scared of sharing this because I don’t know if anyone will understand, or they’ll judge me.

Damn I hate this OCD. Every day I wake up feeling guilty like I've cheated on my wife even though I never have. This guilt is ruining my whole existence.
I hate that we have to suffer with sexual orientation OCD. Heck in the way, way past I was aroused by Lesbian porn but it never made me doubt my heterosexuality. But now with this OCD subject and the constant mental rituals ocd tells me that because of what I did in the past it means I’m a lesbian and I just haven’t realized it yet. And during ERP when the behavioral specialist tell me to imagine that the thoughts might be true (that’s what you have to do in ERP) it terrifies me and makes me so so sick. I just don’t want it to be true. I’ve always dreamed of having a husband, even now in moments like these I wish he was here to hold me now and tell me everything will be ok...
Anyone have experience with or know about POCD?
Please help me my bf just broke up w me. Having a panic attacks bc it’s my fault. I pushed him away with my rocd and insecurities and idk what to do or how to make it better
Sensorimotor Ocd is so hard to deal with because it relates to the body, seems like I’m not getting any better it seems impossible.

For anyone Christian. What if I did something so bad I can not forgive myself. How in the world is God going to forgive me?! I’m reading “God’s wisdom for navigating life” and it says don’t do things you can’t justify before God, because you need to be weary of judgement day. Okay so basically is that saying I get to go to heaven because he will forgive me but when judgment day comes around I’m getting thrown into hell ?!?! How am I supposed to sleep now?
I’m afraid I’m going to spiral and hit a rock bottom. So much in my life is stressing me out right now, and I feel kinda alone. OCD has actually become one of my lesser stresses! (I mean, kudos for that?) I just feel really overwhelmed.
has anyone here gotten through most of there HOCD or feeling a bit better? if so, what types of things did you to to help this get better?
Got to a point where I’m just miserable all the time. I can’t let go of these ‘false memories’. I don’t know how?! It’s got better that I was, but I don’t want to live the rest of my life like this.
After getting more acclimated to hocd thoughts, I started to fear that I have schizophrenia. I’ve been meditating a lot and have been mindful and in a really good headspace. I’ve been able to take a step back and recognize that this is just another topic of my ocd, and instead of reacting in fear and ruminating/what if-Ing everything, I’ve been able to just shrug off my intrusive thoughts and just live alongside them. Almost all day long yesterday I had the repetitive thought “schizophrenia” just popping into my head over and over. With other intrusive thoughts, I feel the fear attached to the thought, and immediately start asking “what if?” And ruminating about it until I work myself up into a huge mess and start googling for reassurance. Although annoying, I’ve been able to step back and just live with the intrusive thoughts this time, not ignoring them, but recognizing them and noting them as what they are, shrugging them off, and going on with my daily life. Eventually, I notice that they have stopped for a while. At some point, they inevitably come back, but the sting and the fear is becoming less and less. Sorry for the novel guys, but today I feel strong, and today I choose to excel and fight my ocd. We all have the strength to overcome this. We can do it. And we deserve the better life that we are working towards daily.
Any others thought about going into the the field of physcology ( social worker, therapist, counselor) for OCD specialist?
Hi everyone. Has OCD impacted your abilities in work and/or school?? Things at work have pretty much gone up in flames for me at the beginning of last year and I haven’t worked since then and I am doing well in college but I need a job and I don’t know if I’m ready to work or if i can cope etc. could anyone share how their ocd impacts work or school? Makes me feel so alone
Is checking same sex pornography for groinal response a compulsion? I feel alone dirty, scared depressed sad
Are we with ocd condemned on using antidepressant for the rest of our lives?
Does anyone with HOCD find that everything is turned into something sexual and your mind tells you you want to do these disgusting things?
