Anyone have tips on Relationship OCD, and do you share the intrusive thoughts and tell your girlfriend you are dealing with this? Or keep it to yourself.
This false memory is killing me I don’t know if it’s real or fake and I don’t know how to stop worrying about it someone please help
Many times I am scared that I am manipulative and when I text someone or say something, I check what I say so I'm not being manipulative
shaking so much right now and so anxious. so basically i’ve been super scared of getting hearing problems or whatever for a while now because of a post i saw and i listen to music/videos a lot for background noise. i was on a video and i started to hear a noise and i was like what is that. i turned it off and it was still there. so basically i have what i have been fearing. idk what to do. i’ve even been limiting how much/how loud what i listen to is but idk. and it’s definitely real this time not just ocd. just realised i never said what it was, basically a ringing type of noise. i’ve heard it maybe 7 or 8 times now on and off. i don’t even know how i am going to tell my parents i’m experiencing this or what i’m supposed to do about it. suppose this isn’t really ocd related but i’m stressing so much and fearing that this is now going to ruin my life and stuff (overthinking a lot). this added stress is not what i needed :( if anyone could give me advice i would appreciate it, or even just talk to me to help me be less anxious that would be great
im not sure if this classifies as ocd, but im gonna say it anyway. i won’t say anything about my ocd (in this case, pure o) in this situation until a few paragraphs in since this requires a lot of context, so be patient, please. a friend of mine told me at a sleepover last night that she has did, dissociative identity disorder. she, or they, have several alters, six or seven i think. she/they are nonviolent and each are unique, and whenever an alter fronts it’s never problematic or scary— if anything, it’s fascinating to talk to someone completely different then the person you see in front of you, especially if the alter is much different then the host or if the host isn’t even present. did, most of the time, buds from severe childhood trauma. the brain conjures up trauma-holding alternate personalities along with hallucinations to cope with it. i recommend watching this video to get a better understanding of did, if you’re willing to watch at least five minutes: https://youtu.be/ZxVzXLVn_oE anyways, i was told by the host alter, the friend i personally have known all this time, that her alters have met me. and, while i was at her house, the host alter was dormant for a while. “luka”, one of the alters, (take a shot every time i day the word “alter,” haha) fronted my friend’s body. i showed them a drawing im working on for the host’s birthday, and when the host fronted once more, the thing she’d seen with her own body’s eyes wasn’t remembered. i was fascinated. it was a peaceful and positive exchange, talking to them. here’s where i talk about the pure o (?) i experienced: i was scared when i found out. i kept my head, i was supportive on the outside, and i can’t stress enough that each interaction was positive and enlightening, but i was scared. an alter called a persecutor was mentioned, (an alter the brain conjures in an image of the abuser that belittles the host) and after i was told, my friend mentioned that the persecutor was angry that she’d told me. all sorts of ocd pattern (?) intrusive thoughts happened, i felt feverish, the cheap neurotypical idea of did manifested my ocd. i feared rape and murder, i feared that the alter would front my friends’ body and kill me. i didn’t sleep last night, i listened for the stairs, (my did friend slept upstairs, me and another friend that was at her house slept downstairs) and i can’t get it out of my head that something terrible will happen even though the host friend told me the persecutor likes me, as the other alters do. im sorry this is so long, but i need advice. how do i cope with these thoughts? if anyone’s had similar experiences, could you tell me how to get over this stupid fear? thank you.
today wasn’t the best. i kept checking if everything was still in my bag while i was out every 5-10 mins. i just couldn’t stop checking for hours. does anyone have any tips on how to stop checking things? xx if you have read this far, have a good day xx :)
GUYS HOW DO I KNOW IF IM HAVING LOSS ATTRACTION BC OF THE LIBIDO OR BC OF OCD LIKE SHOULD I RECOVER FROM OCD OR INCREASE MY LIBIDO PLZ HELPPP
Will I ever be a girl again ? Is this just my life now ? At this point it’s just making me depressed. I feel idk who I am anymore and the person thought I was is fading completely. It hurts to see other pretty girl doing great in life like that’s what I wanted . I wanted to be a pretty girl who loved her self and did good in life . I want a husband, baby all of that shit . And I feel like this just holds me back from living up to my true potential.
Literally me right now : What if you can fall in love with a girl? What if you don’t feel in love with your boyfriend because you’re actually lesbian? What if you have to break up with him? What if you realize you are in love with your friend? Do you like her? Does your boyfriend look like a girl? Are you happy with him? Can you be happy with a girl instead? What if you’re meant to be with a girl? My stomach feels so sick and twisted I’m so sad honestly. He’s the best thing ever, and I never want to hurt him like I did before when I let my harm thoughts get to me. Now it’s me being lesbian? I really hate myself so damn much. All I ever wanted is to be calm and happy. I found some one great and then this all happens ? Why is my luck so bad. I’m sorry for ranting everyone.
I’ve never had an official diagnosis but I’m in a miserable place right now. I experience terrible anxiety (usually pass out whenever I have a panic attack) but what has been bothering me is this overwhelming sense of guilt. I keep ruminating over conversations and events, so much so that I feel ashamed of everything I’ve said or done. Moreover, every time I hear, watch or read something even remotely related to a less than positive experience in my life, I feel overcome with fear and tend to escape into this make-believe world where an idealized version of myself articulately clarifies whatever I’ve said or done. All this has reached a point where I feel racked with guilt even about the few things I might’ve achieved or the happy times I’ve had in the past: can’t help but think that the only reason I experienced them is because I had the comfort and opportunities to do so (I feel like I’ve robbed someone else of their chances because I haven’t earned any of this). I’ve started feeling like I lack a moral compass, and my thoughts are torturing me. Every time I overcome one intrusive thought, another come rushes in and so forth. It’s like I want to remain miserable. I posted it here because I’ve been trying to figure out what this isn’t and from whatever I’ve read so far, the symptoms seem most like ocd. I’m planning to go to a therapist soon but feel terrified about sharing all this!
how can i be sure that i have hocd for like 3 weeks and now just feel like i’m constantly lying to myself and i’m actually gay ? it feels so real and i don’t have that much anxiety right now, and that’s worrying me
Guys I’m so scared of having schizophrenia help
My husband has contamination ocd and I try to be supportive and learn the most I can but he needs to take the lead and confront his anxiety. He tends to try to avoid and make his anxiety better with rituals. Even with professional help, he hasn’t consistently done ERP. I don’t know what to do anymore; it makes my general anxiety worse. At some point he needs to help himself. How does a person get to that point? Is there any other spouses of people with ocd out there?
this is going to kill me. im very much suicidal. all the tiem. i cant be mentslly ill. i cant do it. i wont let this happen anymore. i get to the point and then i cant do it. i cant fight this
I'm freaking out right now. I have a friend that I'm really close, and she's very special to me. But since hocd started I'm always wondering if I like her romantically. It's awful. I don't want to be with her, but then, what if I in fact do? And I get so anxious, and I get groinal responses, and when I'm around her I keep wondering: what if I kissed her? This is just too much. I don't like it, I hate it. I'm so scared that I'm going to act on it, or that it's true.
Question, I’ve been in treatment for over a year now and have always had trouble having ERP scare me. I have mostly mental rumination and compulsions and have found that when I do scripts and recordings, they never make me anxious. Can anyone else relate? Any tips?
Right now I’m having a moment where it feels very real. I don’t know whether to trust the feeling. I’m getting the urge to ‘come out’ but I don’t even know if it’s true. Or maybe I’m lying? Do I really ‘not know’ or am I just pretending I don’t know? I feel very sick in my stomach and nervous and keep going to cry. I keep going to stare at myself in the mirror to figure myself out and I keep repeating phrases such as ‘I’m gay, I like women, I’m a lesbian’ to see if it feels right but I don’t know if it does. Yesterday I had about 6 breakdowns and read articles and I was so sure I wasn’t gay. Now I’m having like a wash of ‘I must be!’ I don’t know whether to trust this feeling or not ughhhhh.
This may be a form of asking for reassurance. I really don't even know at this point. But for those with HOCD, I seen and heard videos about this where some OCD sufferers are so tired of the doubt from the thoughts that they "adopt" a gay lifestyle. Or just basically accept all the thoughts. I'm just tired of constantly fighting this. The problem is I will like have "fantasies" of the same sex (female) and every time doubt comes up like for example, Do you like this fantasy your having? I'll just be like yes. I don't want to have these fantasies but I feel like I have no choice because of it being inevitable. I find it distressing but I'm barely if not nauseous at all so I feel like this is just who Ive always been. I still get anxiety sometimes and doesn't feel natural like with guys but then sometimes it legit feels real and feels like I like it. I'm truly so exhausted and just want to die.
This isn’t an ocd related post this time but I need some help... So my girlfriend told me one thing and my parents said another but my girlfriend denied it to my parents but Her and I know it’s true but now my parents think I’m lying to them “I don’t like being played” but I don’t wanna say that my girlfriend isn’t telling them and she’s mad at me now for telling them the thing she denied and my parents are mad and I lost my bestfriend recently because he backstabbed me so I have no one to talk to and I don’t know what to do.:(
Well to today I watched gay porn and got no type of groinal response then later a girl on Instagram posted a picture and i got hard I know I’m straight but the intrusive thoughts are still getting me
