I’ve made many mistakes in my life and I find it really hard to forgive myself. The anxiety & shame has felt debilitating and I’ve been struggling to eat food. I feel like I deserve this. I want to practice self-compassion but I’m afraid I’ll fall into the habit of reassuring my trigger and continuing the OCD cycle. Are affirmations like: “I will be okay” or “I will make it through this” fine?
